Learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, what to do and how to access help and resources.
MHFA Canada is an interactive course for anyone and no previous mental health experience is necessary. It can benefit teachers, health care professionals, emergency service workers, human resource professionals, employers, managers and supervisors, community groups, and the public.
The 12 hour* course instructs participants in:
- Recognizing the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and crisis situations
- Basic actions for mental health first aid
- How to provide help in order to prevent more serious problems from developing
- Information about effective interventions and treatments
- How to access help and resources
